Meet the Inuvo Executive Management Team and Board of Directors

Peter Corrao

Peter Corrao
President and Chief Executive Officer

Peter is President and CEO for Inuvo, Inc, formerly serving as President and CEO of Vertro, Inc. before its merger with Inuvo in 2012. Peter has more than 25 years of executive-level general management experience, most recently serving as chief executive officer for Bluestreak.com, Inc. Bluestreak provides digital marketing products and services for both business-to-business and consumer marketers. Previous to his role as CEO of Bluestreak, he served as president and CEO for Cogit Corporation, a privately held online target marketing company. Prior to Cogit, Peter spent 17 years at Advo Inc., most recently as President of National Accounts Marketing. During his 17 years Advo grew from a relatively small player in direct mail marketing to a profitable powerhouse with over a billion dollars in revenue. Advo is the largest full-service direct mail marketing company in the U.S and was NYSE-listed. Peter attended Miramar College and is a graduate of Kellogg School of Management Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University

 

Wally-Ruiz

Wally Ruiz
Chief Financial Officer

Wally serves as Inuvo's Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the company's financial functions, budgeting, human resources, legal affairs and investor relations. Wally has been the chief financial officer of both public and privately-owned companies in several industries. Prior to joining Inuvo in June 2010, he was the CFO of SRI Surgical Express, a nationwide provider of healthcare services where he was a key member of the team driving its turnaround. Wally started his career in the New York offices of Ernst & Young and has led the finance function of companies in the consumer products, oil and gas, retail, fashion and high tech industries. Wally has helped start ups through successful IPOs and growing enterprises with bank and private placement financings. Outside the office, Wally has been an adjunct professor of International Finance at the University of Miami and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. He currently serves as a director on the board of the Florida Institute of CFOs. Wally earned his MBA degree in Accounting and Finance from Columbia University and a BS degree in Computer Science from St. John's University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Technology Professional.

 

John Pisaris

John Pisaris
General Counsel

John Pisaris is the general counsel for Vertro having previously served as vice president from Feb-Oct 2004.Prior to joining the Company, John was a partner in the law firm of Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur LLP (Jan 2002 - Jan 2004), a firm which he joined in 1993 as an associate. At Porter Wright, John practiced in the corporate and securities group and advised clients on business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financings, securities offerings and securities compliance.John is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law and Hillsdale College.


 

Trey Barrett

Trey Barrett
SVP Corporate Strategy and Business Development

Trey joined Inuvo in February 2010 and serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, where he is responsible for the development and management of strategic partnerships, as well as the development of integrated solutions across all of Inuvo’s various businesses. Prior to joining Inuvo, Trey served as Acxiom Corporations Director of Interactive Media Products overseeing the innovation and development of the Relevance-X product line. With over 25 years of data-driven direct marketing experience, he has been involved in several successful business start-ups in the direct and interactive marketing industries. Trey earned a bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Economics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. When not working on corporate strategy, Trey enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Shana, and two children, Olivia and Will.

 

Trey Barrett

Rob Roe
General Manager

Rob serves as Inuvo's General Manager and is responsible for management of business operations, including Product Management, Direct Marketing, Product Engineering and Systems Engineering. Rob was General Manager of Vertro, Inc. before its merger with Inuvo in 2012. Prior to his role as General Manager, Rob ran Product Management for the company and was the original Product Manager of the company's toolbar products. Prior to joining the company, Rob founded and ran State of the Art Inc., a desktop publishing services company in New York, and also founded NYC.com, a destination city guide web site. Rob holds a B.A. from Carleton College. Rob attended the MBA program at Columbia Business School, where he made Dean's List and Beta Gamma Sigma, although he dropped out to join a startup before he completed his degree.

Richard K. Howe
Executive Chairman

Mr. Howe previously served as Chief Executive Officer for Inuvo before the merger with Vertro, Inc. in 2012. Before Inuvo, Rich served as Chief Marketing/Business Strategy and M &A Officer at the Acxiom Corporation (NASDAQ: ACXM), a $1.4 billion annual revenue global interactive marketing services company. While at Acxiom, he had been responsible for building the company's Asia Pacific business, consulting business, targeted display advertising business and for managing the information products and analytics business. Previously, he served as general manager of the $110 million Global Marketing Services unit of Fair Isaac & Company. He was also instrumental in Fair Isaac's purchase of HNC, a software company at which he worked from 1997 to 1999. Before joining Fair Isaac, he founded and was chairman and CEO of ieWild Inc., a marketing applications "software as a service" company whose clients included leading financial services institutions. He earned a bachelor's degree with distinction in structural engineering from Concordia University, Canada, and he earned his master's degree in engineering from McGill University, Canada. Any free time Rich has is spent with his family traveling, skiing, golfing, dirt biking and watching movies. Rich is also a board member of the non-profit organization Business for Diplomatic Action.

 

Joseph P. Durrett
Director

Mr. Durrett began his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble. From there he moved to Kraft Foods where he became President of Grocery Products and Senior Vice President for worldwide sales. Joseph left Kraft to become President and COO for NYSE listed Advo, Inc., America's largest direct mail company. Subsequently, he was CEO of NASDAQ listed Broderbund Software which lead the development of family productivity, educational, and entertainment software. Following Broderbund, Joseph served as Chairman and CEO of Information Resources, Inc., the leading supplier of analytics as well as market research to the worldwide consumer goods industry. More recently, Joseph led a successful publicly traded contingent value rights trust and is a consultant to consumer focused businesses.

 

Dr. Adele Goldberg

Director

Dr. Goldberg is a founder and director of Neometron, Inc., a consultancy that specializes in knowledge management to support the operations of virtual organizations. Dr. Goldberg currently works with drug development teams, international research programs, and educational technology. She was founding Chief Technology Officer for Agile Mind, Inc., an educational technology company from 2002-2006. Prior to forming Neometron, Dr. Goldberg was the founding CEO and Chairman of the board of ParcPlace Systems, Inc. ParcPlace was formed as a spin off from the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, where Goldberg was a research laboratory manager and principal scientist. She holds a PhD and an MS in Information Sciences from the University of Chicago and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.


Charles Morgan

Director

Mr. Morgan is an investor in Bridgehampton Arbitrage LLC and an equity owner of Bridgehampton Capital Management LLC. Currently, he is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Bridgehampton Capital Management LLC and co-manager of investments. Mr. Morgan has extensive experience managing and investing in both private and public companies including Acxiom Corporation (NasdaqGS: ACXM), an interactive marketing services company he helped grow from an early stage company to over $1.4 billion in revenues during his tenure as Chairman / CEO from 1975 to 2008.  Mr. Morgan was employed by IBM as a systems engineer for six years prior to joining Acxiom, and he holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Arkansas. In addition, Mr. Morgan has served on the board and in various leadership roles with the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) throughout his career, including serving as chairman of the DMA in 2001. Mr. Morgan also serves as a member and is the past chairman of the board of trustees of Hendrix College.

 

Charlie Pope
Director

Mr. Pope, brings more than 30 years of experience in executive management, finance and accounting to his director position. Mr. Pope was the Chief Financial Officer of Aerosonic Corpora tion (AMEX:AIM), a worldwide manufacturer of aircraft instruments. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer for both Reptron Manufacturing, a manufacturer of electronic and engineering services and SRI/Surgical (NasdaqGM: STRC), which provides central processing and supply chain management services to hospitals and surgery centers across the United States. Mr. Pope served as Chief Financial Officer for UTEK Corporation (AMEX: UTK), a business development company that acquires and funds the development of new university technologies. Previously, Mr. Pope was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP during his 20 years with the firm. He holds a B.S. in economics and accounting from Auburn University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida.
