New Features for November 2009

November is here and we have a brand new feature release for you today!  This November 2009 update has a lot of helpful enhancements to make it easier than even to get the most out of your Inuvo account.

Our new Advertiser Features are:

  • Bulk Upload / Update Transactions – If you don’t have the ability to record transactions in real-time, or you need to update the status of large numbers of transactions, you can now bulk upload and update transactions.  Detailed instructions and sample files are provided in the blue box located on the right-side of the page.
    • This can quickly be accessed from any page by clicking on “Transactions” and then clicking on the “Get Started” button in the “Upload Transactions” area on the right-hand side of the page.
    • There are four different options for bulk uploading transactions:
      • New Transactions – This type of upload is for uploading new transactions into the platform.
      • Modify Status for Pending Transactions – This type of upload is for modifying the status of existing 'pending' transactions. Transactions can be 'approved' or 'denied' as a batch.
      • Modify Quantity/Revenue for Pending Transactions – This type of upload is for modifying the revenue and quantity of existing 'pending' transactions.
      • Offline Transactions – This type of upload is for uploading offline transactions into the platform.

  • Custom Publisher Groups – Use this feature to sub-sets of your publishers.  Perhaps you have a group of super-affiliates you want to apply rules to at once, this allows you to do so.
    • To access this feature, click on “Publishers” then click on “Manage Publisher Groups.”  Once you are on the “Publisher Groups” page, click on “New Publisher Group.”
    • Next, all you need to do is name your group and check off the publishers you’d like added to that group and “Save”.
    • This feature can be used in conjunction with the Custom Commission Structure feature to give a group of publishers a special payout rate.
  • Custom Commission Structures – Use this feature to give publishers a special commission structure.
    • To do so, just click on the offer you’d like to apply the custom commission to and then click on “Manage Commission Structures” on the top right-hand side of the page.  Next you need to click on “New Commission Structure.”
    • Give the commission structure a name, structure type (more options coming soon!), amount type and an amount and “Save.”

Click on “Modify Publisher Assignments” to add publishers to the specified commission structure.  If you’d like to select a group of publishers, click on the “Publisher Group” dropdown menu and select the group name. Make sure the publishers are checked off and then choose the options you’d like to update these publishers to on the two dropdown menus next to “Update Selected Publishers” and click “Update.”

  • Auto-Replenish Funds – This feature is available so you can set up rules for automatically funding your account once it hits an account minimum balance that you specify.
    • To access the feature, click on “Account” then “Billing Details.”
    • Click on the edit pencil next to “Auto Replenish Information” and then enter the following information:
      • Amount – This is the amount that will be charged to your account each time your specified minimum balance has been reached.
      • Threshold – This is account balance minimum which will trigger your account being changed for the amount you have specified.
      • Monthly Max – This is the maximum amount per month that your account will be auto replenished up to.
      • Next, make sure to check the checkbox next to “Activate” and click on “Update.”

  • Premium Advertiser Icon and Filters – This icon is used to differentiate between advertisers who have a standard account from advertisers who have upgraded to a premium account.
    • View the premium advertiser icon on any premium advertiser’s offer in the Inuvo Platform.  Just look for the “PREM” grey box with a red line on the bottom of it.
    • Also, we now have an offer filter available both on the Dashboard and the Browse Offers areas.  Click on the dropdown menu to filter for Premium Only offers or Standard Only offers.
    • If you’d like to upgrade your advertiser account to premium, contact us at sales [at] inuvo [dot] com.

We value all of the feedback we have been receiving!  If you haven’t already visited our Feedback Forum, you should head over there now and give us your thoughts on how to make the Inuvo Platform the best experience in performance-based marketing you can find.
